Hybrid #4 (7.5" x 7.5")

£125.00

This is one of a series of miniature paintings inspired by the strange little creatures that inhabit the margins of the Luttrell Psalter, an illuminated manuscript of the middle ages (created 1320 - 1340). This manuscript is a great source for those who enjoy a bit of medieval weirdness. It’s not easy to gain access to the original manuscript but the British Library has done a wonderful job of digitising many of the pages in its open source catalogue.

My little tribute has been created, with liberties and embellishments, using watercolour, ink and casein, embellished with 23.75 carat gold. The painting is varnished and mounted to a wooden panel and offered ready to hang in a beautiful 7½” square wooden frame.

The listed price includes free UK shipping. I am very happy to ship worldwide upon request. (If you live outside the UK, please contact me to discuss the postage options for your country.)
