This little heron is inspired by an illustration in the Ashmole Bestiary (c1200), often seen as a 'sister' manuscript to the equally gorgeous Aberdeen Bestiary.
My version is recreated using watercolour, casein, ink and 23.75 carat gold, mounted to a wooden panel and varnished.
The painting is framed and ready to hang in a beautiful 7½” square wooden frame.
The listed price includes free UK shipping. I am happy to ship worldwide. (If you live outside the UK, please contact me to discuss the postage options for your country.)
