This medieval lady and her good girls is inspired by a little piece of marginalia found in the Alphonso Psalter (c1284), currently in the care of The British Library. This manuscript was created for the son of Edward I, who sadly died at the age of ten.
My tribute painting has been created using watercolour, ink and casein and embellished with 23.75 carat gold. The painting is varnished and mounted to a wooden panel and offered ready to hang in a beautiful wooden frame with outer dimensions of 9” x 9”.
